The
activities performed and supplies used during each visit are recorded
in a visit time sheet. Inventory "macros" enable quick
entry of commonly used kits and lists of items (e.g. hemophilia
supplies). After the visit timesheet is entered, an invoice can
be created automatically in the system ready to be reviewed. Per-visit
and per-hour pricing are supported, as well as pricing based on
a factor times AWP, last cost, and/or list price; pricing can also
vary by user-defined visit type. Upcoming visits can be scheduled
easily and quickly.
Each therapy for each patient is tracked separately.
Each prescription or nursing visit is linked to a patient therapy;
in addition other user-definable interventions, outcomes, and events
(such as catheter occlusions, infections, etc.) are tracked and
optionally linked to one or more therapies.
Data such as patient and physician information can be merged into
user-defined word processing forms to produce care plans, patient
followup letters, etc. without re-entry of data.
Electronic chart notes provide a permanent record; Oracle security
prevents even the person who entered a note from modifying or deleting
it after it is saved.
Chart notes can be printed for inclusion in a hardcopy file, e-mailed
to other staff members, and of course requeried online at any time.
Commonly used chart note "templates" can be defined, then
copied in, modified, and saved as a chart note.
